Nice Radiomir split seconds

Thanks Emmanuel for another great post with insightful details! Almost like another "coincidence" between Panerai and GP - we have seen Ferrari chronographs from both brands, including the special foudroyante split seconds (e.g. PAM246, PAM343 vs. GP 9020

Here are some bits of infos...

1999... The story says that to celebrate the Scuderia Ferrari 70th Anniversary, Girard - Perregaux created the Pour Ferrari SF Foudroyante, which was- and still is - an unique combination of two sophisitcations for a Chronograph: The Foudroyante AND the R

Foudroyante... Hmmmm, you know my love for this complication. So, what do we have?

Girard Perregaux, of course, is maybe the most famous here, for us. The famous SF by GP: This movement is a 7750 reworked by La Joux-Perret. This movement was used by GP, but also other brands such as Hublot, Panerai ( Bill's PAM 246 has this movement ) a

How many of you want to see Panerai's with more complications?

I used to have this below Panerai PAM246 foudroyante 1/8th seconds Radiomir chronograph which I've always found reallllly sexy for a sporty Radiomir. I'm getting tired of the Panerai with the usual 2 complications - time only or time w/ seconds hand. Most

Great piece Dave!!

Btw, I wrote a review on my ex-PAM246 several years ago if anyone is interested in reading it: Some many not like the "busy" look of this PAM246 but I find it refreshing. Congrats on the great pick-up! Cheers, Anthony

All very lovely pieces...

Yes, the quintessential look comes out in the models you note. I like those too. I guess the question is whether Panerai should be making any complications or not? They have made many chronos with a similar vibe over the years. Here, the 246 adds the extr

After a long absence...

from having a Panerai in my collection (the last was a PAM 237 sold a few years ago), I found this mint piece from a fellow Purist in Hong Kong this week. I did miss having one and am glad to have found this from the 2006 special editions. A quick shot of

Of the 2, I don't think you can buy either at a Panerai Boutique

The PAM520 is a new watch from SIHH 2014, so I don't think they've made their way to the stores yet. But should be soon IMO. And the PAM246 was released several years ago, so I doubt there are any left there since, if I remember correctly, it was a limite
